Broadcaster Seo Jung-hee competes in Pilates competition…”I’m glad to be alive”

Broadcaster Seo Jeong-hee competed in the “1st K-Pilates Contest,” co-hosted by Kookmin University and the Korea Lifelong Sports Coaching Association, on Wednesday.

Seo participated in the senior division of the contest, which was held at the Grand Theater of Kookmin University College of Arts and Sciences in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, and performed a three-minute routine to her own song, “A Wonderful Day in October.

The tournament was held in three categories: Instructor (Pilates certification), Senior (Pilates experience over 60 years old), and Para (demonstration), with 65 participants from 50 teams.

Seo, who was the third athlete in the senior division, performed apparatus Pilates to the theme of “I’m glad to be alive,” which is the title of her essay.

Her daughter Seo Jung-ju and her boyfriend, architect Kim Tae-hyun, were there to cheer her on.

“I had a mastectomy, and I started doing Pilates after a friend introduced me to it, not just to lose weight, but to live healthily,” said Seo. “I’ve only been doing it for about a month, but I thought it would motivate me, so I took the courage to participate in this competition.”

“Just like the title of the book, ‘I’m glad I’m alive,’ I’m living a second life now,” he said, adding, “I hope I can comfort people who are sick, and next year I want to participate with my daughter.”

Yang Won-seok, chairman of the Lifelong Sports Coaching Association, which organized the event, said, “We will strive to establish Pilates as a representative national health sport,” adding, “We will prepare for more people to participate next year.” 파워볼사이트
