Manchester City’s (EPL) “center back” Rodrigo Rodriguez (28, Spain) has been ruled out for the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Tests revealed a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, and he was eventually ruled out for the season after undergoing surgery, leaving City without the defensive midfielder who does a lot of the heavy lifting in the center of the park.
Rodri’s injury is being analyzed as fatigue.
Since joining City in July 2019, Rodríguez has played more than 50 games in four of his last five seasons at City, including 52 in 2019-2020, 53 in 2020-2021, 56 in 2022-2023, and 50 in 2023-2024, aside from 46 official games in 2021-2022.
In the 174 EPL games he has played since joining the club, City have lost just 19 of them and are unbeaten in 52 consecutive games in which he has started, making him a “win fairy.
