MLB posted an image of Lee Jung-hoo’s post on its official SNS, announcing his career.

This image summarizes Lee Jung-hoo’s seven seasons in the KBO League. Lee Jung-hoo won the Rookie of the Year award in 2017, won the Golden Glove five times, was the MVP in 2022, and recorded a batting average of 0.340 OPS (on-base plus slugging) of 0.898515 RBIs.

MLB.COM (MLB.com ) announced the news of Lee Jung-hoo’s posting and explained that he had a good batting performance and a plus-class center fielder’s defense.

MLB Network’s John Hayman said, “Many teams are interested, including the San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, and New York Yankees.”

Another big club, the New York Mets, is also targeting Lee Jung-hoo. “The Mets are very interested in Lee Jung-hoo,” said Bob Nightingale of USA Today, a U.S. media outlet.

The New York Post, a U.S. media outlet, reported on November 24 that “20 teams, including the Yankees, are targeting him.”

Lee Jung-hoo’s agent Scott Boras said, “Lee Jung-hoo’s contact ability is remarkable. The strikeout rate is only 5.4%, which is unprecedented,” adding, “There is a center field premium. I think it will bring K-pop to MLB because I can defend and have power.”
