The Toronto Argonauts received the 2022 Gray Cup ring at a private dinner on Thursday night. For Clemons, the club’s affable GM, it is the seventh championship ring he has earned as a player, manager and executive with a storyline franchise since joining in 1990.
“I would suggest that winning the Grey Cup is one of the freshest experiences of my life,” Clemons said. “This is a very good way to put the bow in 2022 and probably the pandemic itself and the challenges it presents.”
CFL hasn’t hosted a season in 2020 due to the global pandemic. It reduced its 14-game campaign to resume playing in 2021 before proceeding with the full 18-game schedule last year without a protocol.
Clemons participated in the ring design but did not see the finished product until Thursday. He said it was definitely worth the wait.
“I got a chance to see the process,” he said. “But the end result was ‘wow’.”
The ring features a custom blue sapphire topstone with 308 diamonds and Toronto’s boat logo on a 10-carat white gold.
Baron Championship Lynx of tekumse, Ontario, was the manufacturer. The company specializes in creating league rings for CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers, NBA’s Toronto Raptors and Cleveland Cavaliers, MLS’s Toronto FC, WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks and Hockey Canada.
“We’re very excited about it and really happy with the results,” Baron’s CEO Peter Canis said. “Everyone has invested their heads in this, and I think it’s going to be one of the coolest grey cup rings of all time.”
The ring was the result of the collaboration of the baronet as well as Toronto players and officials. Clemons was also included, but he said he was led by a group of players led by veteran linebacker Henock Muamba, MVP and top Canadian player in the grey cup, which beat Winnipeg 24-23.

The ring contained several unique elements that told the story of Toronto’s championship season.
The water – themed contour tower features a stone – filled sail and a blue sapphire stone logo sailing over an additional wave of 18 stones representing the franchise’s respective CFL Record Grey Cup titles. The left shoulder displays the Toronto skyline with six stars that represent the team’s home victory in 2022.
“The logo itself was quite complicated because there are waves and the lines are different,” Canis said. “When you make a work, it is almost impossible to make the logo exactly because the color cannot be next to the color in the jewel. In order to put it in the work, you have to have a metal that separates the colors.
“The challenge was, ‘How can we make it look as close as possible and still give it that spark and brightness?’ I think what really shines is the custom cut stone in the middle of the logo. It was the central piece that we made as close as possible. Everything else was studded with diamonds to look bright.”
The right shoulder displays 18 championship banners with BMO fields and players’ names and numbers filled with stones. Inside it, the team’s motto, “Three strands of string do not break easily,” symbolizes the resilience and honor of the team that plays together.
Below the motto is the score for 24-23 matches. The outer bottom shank features a blue breakthrough with different outer edges, maintaining the team’s 1-0 weekly mindset.
“The players’ big request was to have a water element,” Canis said. “It’s because it flows like water, and the water can be soft, but it’s actually very strong.
“So we made a nice wave pattern out of three different colors of blue stone in it.”
Canis said the evolution of ring-making technology is clear from the three-line code.
“(It) goes completely into the ring and it wouldn’t have been possible with the technology at the time,” he said. “But now we can do that with 3D technology. 토토사이트 순위
