Women’s volleyball’s Jung Kwan-jang defeats Heungkuk Life and Hyundai E&C…

Jung Kwan-jang, led by ‘Indonesian Express’ Megawati Putihwi (registered name Mega), is on a roll.

The team swept powerhouse Hyundai E&C in straight sets 3-0 (25-22 25-21 25-16) in their home match of the Dodram 2023-2024 V League Women’s Division at the Daejeon Chungmu Gymnasium on Sept. 29.

Jung Kwan-jang’s team defeated last season’s regular-season champion Heungkuk Sinsaeng on the 26th and last season’s regular-season runner-up Hyundai E&C on the 27th.

With the two-game winning streak, Jung Kwan-jang improved to 3-1-1 and 8-1-0, catching up to first-place Hyundai E&C by two points.

At the center of the upswing is Asia Quarter Player Mega.

Mega, who poured in a team-high 31 points against Heungkuk Life, was on fire in this match as well.

He led the offense with six points in Game 1, and added nine points in Game 2.

KEPCO rallied with a late attack from Park Chul-woo, but Woori closed out the match with a quick opener from Matei at 24-23.
