The Korea Golf Association held its 2024 General Assembly at The Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 25th to report on the budget, approve new members, and award commendations and merit awards.
The general meeting reported on the budget of 8.3 billion won, including the prize money for this year’s Paris Olympics (300 million won for gold, 150 million won for silver, and 100 million won for bronze), and approved 11 new members. At the awards ceremony, commendations, appreciation awards, and merit awards were presented to individuals and organizations that have made contributions in various fields such as school sports, living sports, coaching, refereeing, and research in the past year.
Hwang Hyung-jun, a teacher at Eunseong Middle School, and three others received the commendation award, the appreciation award went to Gapyeong Benest Golf Club and four others, and the merit award went to Lee Young-guk, president of the Jeollabuk-do Golf Association.
