BREAKING BARRIERS RACE SPECIAL OLYMPICS TO HOST SUPER BLUE MARATHON

People with and without disabilities ran together to break down barriers of prejudice and discrimination. Special Olympics Korea, an organization that supports sports and cultural activities for people with developmental disabilities, held the 8th Super Blue Marathon in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on Sunday. More than 8,000 participants, including people with and without disabilities, participated in four categories: half, 10 kilometers, 5 kilometers, and Super Blue 5 kilometers (accessible course).”We wanted to convey the message that everyone can achieve their goals, regardless of their disability,” said Yong-Hoon Lee, President of Special Olympics Korea. “Each step they take will be a stepping stone to making a big difference. “The Super Blue Marathon is held annually as part of the Super Blue Campaign, a public awareness campaign organized by Special Olympics Korea and Lotte Group.
