Jung Tae-wook will leave Jeonbuk Hyundai to Australia for a while.

The Western Sydney Wanderers officially announced on its website on Thursday that it has hired Jung on loan from Jeonbuk. “This is my first overseas life in my career. I am very happy to join Western. I am very happy to open a new chapter and will do my best to meet the expectations of fans and clubs. I want to see you at the stadium,” Jung said.

“Jung played in more than 150 matches in the K-League. He also recently played in the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League (ACL). He will provide Western Sydney with abundant experience. It will be great to pass down his experiences to young defenders,” coach Alan Stajcic said.

This is Jung Tae-wook, who eventually left Jeonbuk. Jung Tae-wook grew up with Jeju United, but he was exempted from military service due to the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games in Palembang, Jakarta. He joined Daegu FC in a trade with Jung Woo-jae in 2019. In Daegu, Jung Tae-wook played as a key member of the 300. He led Daegu to stay in the K League 1 and was evaluated as the future of Korea’s defense.

He left Daegu for Jeonbuk. With his strong physique and experience he gained by playing steadily from an early age, he seemed to be playing as a key center back in Jeonbuk, but he repeatedly showed regret. Notably, he revealed problems in speed and concentration in the second half of this season, and was criticized for providing an excuse for losing points at every critical moment.

After suffering a crushing defeat at home against FC Seoul, he visited a lounge bar in Seoul, sparking controversy. Since then, he seemed to show better performance by cutting his hair short, but after the match against Jeju Island, he has come under fire again for showing his sincere expression and attitude in greeting coach Kim Doo-hyun and his home fans. Having lost trust in Jeonbuk fans completely, Jung will leave Jeonbuk.안전놀이터

After the announcement, Jung Tae-wook said on his official SNS account, “I thought about what to say and thought about it. I am so sorry for disappointing Jeonbuk fans due to your rash actions. If you were a professional, you should have shown good performance to your fans, but I am sorry for not being able to. I will root for Jeonbuk a lot as the team is leaving under a tough circumstance. I will come back mature.”
