NC-Hanwha draw 3-3 after 12 extra innings
After four hours and 52 minutes of hard-fought action, NC and Hanwha were unable to settle the score.
The NC Dinos, coached by Kang In-hwa, and the Hanwha Eagles, coached by Kim Kyung-moon, played a regular-season match of the 2024 Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) on Monday at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon. Hanwha was not immune to missed opportunities. In the bottom of the first inning, Hwang Young-mook led off with an infield single to third base, but the next batter, Kim Tae-yeon, struck out, and Hwang was thrown out trying to steal second. Ahn Chi-hong followed with a single to left, but Noh Si-hwan struck out.
Fortunately, Hanwha capitalized on its second chance. Chae Eun-sung singled to right, followed by Choi In-ho’s double to left-center field. Chae Eun-sung was thrown out at home, but Choi Jae-hoon got the save. A walk to Lee Do-yoon put runners on second and third, and Lee Won-seok followed with a double to center. The next batter, Hwang Young-mook, followed with an RBI single to left.
Down a run, NC started to rally in the top of the third. Park Min-woo singled up the middle and Park Gun-woo singled to right to put runners on first and third before Davidson hit a sacrifice fly to right field.
However, NC couldn’t keep the momentum going. In the top of the fourth, Kim Hyung-joon singled, Kim Joo-won walked, and Park Min-woo singled to load the bases, but Kim Hwijip flied out to right field. In the top of the fifth, Park Gun-woo singled to left and Kim Sung-wook walked to put runners on first and second, but Do Tae-hoon grounded 카지노사이트 out to first base.
Hanwha couldn’t quite get away either. In the bottom of the seventh, Ahn Chi-hong singled, Jang Jin-hyuk doubled to right and the pitcher was hit by a pitch to put runners on second and third, but Choi Jae-hoon grounded out to shortstop.
