After returning from injury, Kim Huebum promised better things for the home fans.
Chung-Ang University won 90-73 against Myeongji University in the 2024 KUSF University Basketball U-League South Division regular season at Cheongryong Gymnasium on the Da Vinci Campus of Chung-Ang University on Nov. 26.
While Seo Ji-woo (20 points, 12 rebounds, 3 steals) was the team’s top scorer, sophomore Kim Hue-beom (180 cm, G) also 파워볼게임 contributed to the victory.
Kim, who has been struggling with a thigh injury and rehabilitation since last year, signaled his comeback with the MBC Bae in July. The College League played its second game of the day after the Hanyang University game on July 12.
Kim recorded 12 points, five assists, three rebounds, one steal, and one blocked shot in 28 minutes and 59 seconds. This was his longest playing time and most points this season.
Kim was a key contributor to the early lead in this game, scoring eight points in the first quarter alone. He continued his offense in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory.
“I’m happy to finish my last home game with a win,” Kim told the media after the game.
“My thigh injury is no longer a problem. I’m always striving to be 100 percent,” he said, revealing that he is back in good health.
He also thanked coach Yang Hyung-seok, saying, “He adjusted my playing time after I came back from injury.”
As the team’s guard, Kim is confident in his two-on-two play and mid-range jumper. However, he was disappointed with his performance in this game.
“My 2-on-2 play and jumper were poor today. Still, I tried to create a lot of chances for my teammates, who supported me during my injury,” Kim said.
“I received a lot of encouragement from my manager, coaches, and teammates while I was out of action. Especially, my parents were even harder than me.
