KFA WELCOMES POLICY TO MAXIMIZE TIME FOR PE CLASSES

The Korea Sports Council has positively evaluated the Ministry of Education’s policy to maximize physical education class time. The Korea Sports Council welcomed the policy of ‘maximizing physical education class time’ in the ‘Second Basic Plan for Student Health Promotion’ (2024-2028) announced by the Ministry of Education on March 30, saying that the ministry’s basic plan reflects the recommendations made by the physical education community, including the separation of ‘physical education’ from ‘enjoyable life’ in grades 1 and 2 of elementary schools and the expansion of school sports club activity hours in middle schools (from 102 hours to 136 hours).
