Lee Seung-woo Explains ‘Yellow Card for Colliding with Kazuki’

Lee Seung-woo (이승우) explained his yellow card for a tussle with Kazuki.

Suwon FC defeated Suwon Samseong 2-0 in the 25th round of the Hana OneQ K League 1 2023 at Suwon World Cup Stadium on May 5 at 7 p.m. thanks to a goal from Rath and another from Lee Seung-woo.

Tenth-ranked Suwon FC (23 points) laughed off a battle of pride as it increased its goal difference to five points over 11th-ranked Suwon Samsung (18 points). Suwon lost for the first time in six games, halting their upward trend.

Suwon FC had a tough time stopping Kazuki, who started the Suwon attack. In the fourth minute of the first half, Lee Seung-woo and Kazuki got into a nervous tussle. After being pushed down in the scuffle, Lee got up and fought back. The referee broke them up, but no harm was done. Two minutes later, Lee made a retaliatory tackle on Kazuki. Lee protested, but was shown a yellow card.

With Kazuki contained, Suwon FC’s offense went well. Rath scored a header in the 26th minute and Lee Seung-woo added a goal in the 48th minute to complete the 2-0 victory. With their mission accomplished, Rath and Lee were substituted after playing 85 minutes.

After the game, Lee Seung-woo, who was named the Man of the Match, said, “I’m glad we won the Suwon derby at a crucial time. It was an important game and I’m glad that the players’ hard work paid off. I was more worried about the team’s poor performance than the goals. All the players and coaching staff worked hard and the results came out today. I’m really happy,” he smiled.

Recently, Suwon FC has been shaken by the transfer of Rath and the retirement of Park Joo-ho. Lee said, “Park Joo-ho retired. He was the most important player for the team. It was difficult to have his big brother’s presence on and off the field. We didn’t know if we could fill Park’s role well, and we didn’t think we could replace him among the players. He was an important player. It was a tough time for us to lose him.”

On the Kazuki conflict, Lee said, “Kazuki came to Suwon and is doing well. He’s playing an important role. I tried to defend him tightly. It’s a common scene in soccer.”

Lee is adjusting to his new position as a playmaker. “It’s an unfamiliar position. It’s the first position I’ve seen in my career. It’s hard because I haven’t played much. I can’t see the team’s performance or the position I want to play. There are positions and roles that the coach wants me to play. I tried to do that part well. He asks me to receive the ball from underneath and work with Ras, Kim, and the wingers. I tried to do a good job, and I’m happy that it came out well.” 안전카지노사이트
