The composition of the team members of “Kim Joo-sung-ho” and “Cho Sang-hyun-ho,” who will face off in the 2023-2024 professional basketball All-Star Game, has been completed.
KBL said, “We have completed the final team formation of the 2023-2024 Jeonggwanjang Professional Basketball All-Star Game to be held at Goyang Sono Arena on January 14, 2024.
Changwon LG coach Cho Sang-hyun and Wonju DB coach Kim Joo-sung, who were selected as the MVP of the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 All-Star games, set up their own teams.
Using the two most popular characters among the KBL characters, KBL Friends, head coach Kim’s team has decided on the team name as the “Cblemont Team” and coach Cho’s team as the “Cowling Team.”
Huh Woong (KCC), Didrick Lawson (DB), Lee Jung-hyun, Jeon Sung-hyun (Sono), and Ha Yoon-ki (kt) were selected as the top five in head coach Kim’s Cblemont team.
Coach Kim also selected Yoo Ki-sang, Lee Kwan-hee (LG), Song Kyo-chang (KCC), Park Ji-hoon (Jeonggwanjang), Kim Nak-hyun (Korea Gas Corporation), Lee Won-seok, and Kim Si-rae (Samsung) as team members.
“I chose Lawson because I hoped he would build up memories in the All-Star Game and gain strength and play well in the season,” Kim said. “I chose Heo because I was glad to see his memory as a player.”
SK coach Kim Jae-hwan and KCC coach Shin Myung-ho will assist coach Kim in the KBLMON team.
Huh Hoon (kt), Jamil Warney (SK), Choi Joon-yong (KCC), Yang Hong-seok (LG), and Kim Jong-kyu (DB) made the best five in Cho’s coalfield team.
Lee Woo-seok (Hyundai Mobis), Lee Jae-do (LG), Lee Jung-hyun (Samsung), Moon Sung-gon (kt), Darryl Monroe (Jeonggwanjang), Lee Dae-heon (Korea Gas Corporation), and Kim Sun-hyung (SK) will also be under the direction of Cho.
KT coach Kim Young-hwan and Jeong Kwan-jang coach Choi Seung-tae will join coach Cho as the coaching staff of the coalfield team.
Coach Cho said, “I chose the player considering the height,” adding, “Cho Joon-yong is talented and has good performance, so he will play an important role in the game.”
