Chobi Donates KRW 60 Million to Genji Global Academy to Support Next Generation Talent

‘Chobi’ Jung-hoon donates KRW 60 million to Genzie Global Academy

On the 18th, Genji Global Academy announced that player Chobi “Chobi” Jeong-hoon (“Chobi”) donated KRW 60 million to the organization.

This is the first donation to the esports academy. The donation will be used to develop programs to foster talent and support Genji Global Academy students, especially the “Chobi Scholarship Screening” for teenagers who dream of becoming professional gamers.

“I’ve been thinking and discussing with my team for a long time about how we can support the dreams of the next generation of professional gamers who share my passion,” said Chobi. “We will continue to support the growth and success of not only professional gamers, but also the many next-generation talents in the esports industry.” The donation was made through Chobi’s brand, The Mau.

“It’s personally very meaningful to me that the esports industry has grown to a stage where seniors can directly contribute to the development of younger players,” said Lee Ji-hoon, Managing Director of Zenji Esports. “We look forward to continuing to produce representative Korean professional gamers like Chobi based on this donation.”
